I spent weeks playing cloak and dagger head games with fraudulent VC middle-men -- and then I got a call from Chris Hintz of VCI. Chris devoted several hours of his valuable time over the next two weeks discussing with me the various options available to my company. He believed in me and my company’s future with such strong conviction that he decided to represent my firm with a very small expense fee – much less than I was quoted before – and he really impressed me because he wanted to make sure that this would be affordable to me and my firm and not put us in a bad cash crunch. And then he did exactly what he'd promised he would do: he put me in contact with honest investors who understood what we were doing and who were qualified to fund my venture – a deal in the range of $2.5 million. But when it came time to proceed into serious due diligence, he did what most other "intermediaries" would never, ever do. He advised me NOT to do the deal. And it wasn't because it was a bad deal for him, because it certainly would have made his firm a pretty penny. He gave me this advice because it was a less-than-superior deal for me and my company. He had the foresight to realize that it wasn't our time; that it was too soon for us. He advised me to wait a year and to re-visit my VC options once my company's valuation was stronger. So I did. And now, 15 months later, we are speaking to the same investors about a $25 million deal. Now that's what I call VISION! On a scale of 1 to 10, VCI is an absolute 10 – they really are the best of the best. A lot of things set VCI apart from the crowd but the one thing that impresses me most is that they truly, truly care about their clients.
